Summer Cinema

In 2024, I decided to do something for the town of Velešín, where I was living. At a children’s playground, I organized a screening of Season 1 of The Chosen — so far, only the first two episodes about the deliverance of Mary Magdalene.

I distributed 1,000 flyers to mailboxes in Velešín and the surrounding villages, and I also put up posters on every bulletin board and poster display I came across.

One person helped me carry all the benches, another helped me set up two 9x3 meter tents, and one person generously lent me a projector. Thank God that for every difficult part of the work in the hot weather, He sent at least one person to help me.

I also arranged some refreshments, which were served by a very kind man who has been taking care of the Velešín playground for many years. I bought blankets and pillows so that people would feel comfortable there.

I paid for everything with my own earned money, and I am very grateful that I was able to do it. It was a beautiful experience for me, especially because of what was happening in the sky behind the screen. The photos of the sky have not been edited at all.

Before the screening, it was raining. At 9 PM, when the screening began, the rain stopped.

About 20 people came, including nonbelievers. Even if it had been only for one person who turned to God, it would have been worth it to me.

The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands.
